London transforms when the sun is out. The parks fill with people eager to soak up the sunshine and today I decided to join them. I grabbed my iPad, made a stop from an ice cold lemonade and walked in St James Square, feeling the tension melt away as I sat on a spot of sunshine.
I took a tangy sip, opened my book and started reading. After a few minutes I lied on the grass, feeling the sun on my skin. I closed my eyes and the summers in Greece came rushing in and I welcomed them like old friends. I opened my eyes, put on an alarm, and surrendered to an afternoon snooze.
As I walked back to the office I felt grateful for this moment. I sat in front of my computer and smiled. Until tomorrow.
